Our Services
Comprehensive Eye Exams
Comprehensive eye exams take up to 90 minutes to complete to obtain a thorough medical history, refraction (glasses prescription), dilation of the eyes, and comprehensive examination. Exams are generally quite simple and comfortable. Our exams are performed for seniors and adults to assess the overall health of the eye and address any vision correction needs or medical concerns that may be present.
Surgical Eye Procedures
Our Board-Certified surgeons have years of experience in surgical eye procedures. They specialize in Glaucoma, Cataracts and Corneal Transplants among others. Eye surgeries are scheduled and performed in Prince William Outpatient Surgical Center and Haymarket Outpatient Surgical Center.
Cataract Surgery
Normally the lens in your eye is clear. When your eye becomes cloudy and your vision is affected, this is typically a sign of a cataract, and you may require cataract surgery. Dominion Eye Care ophthalmologists have treated thousands of patients suffering with cataracts.
Advanced Intraocular Lens (IOL) Cataract Surgery
Today, more and more patients are requesting an advanced intraocular lens as their replacement lens during cataract surgery as IOL also helps refractive results. Dominion Eye Care ophthalmologists in VA will diagnose your eye issue and educate you about the various types of premium IOLs available to meet your specific need.
Multifocal IOL Cataract Surgery
Multifocal IOLs are inserted into the eye during cataract eye surgery to maximize distance, intermediate and near focus vision. These IOLs do not rely on the ciliary body muscles in the eyes to focus. These lenses have concentric rings etched into the surface of the lens so imagery from all distance to be clearly focused on the retina.
Glaucoma Management and Surgery
Glaucoma is a progressive disease that when caught early, can often be effectively managed throughout a patient’s life. When uncontrolled, glaucoma can result in permanent loss of vision and blindness. Dominion Eye Care ophthalmologists in VA are experts in diagnosing and treating glaucoma through a variety of means, including drops, lasers, and traditional and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) procedures.
Emergency Eye Care
If you have an eye injury such as a scratched eye or corneal abrasion, penetrating eye injury, foreign object or eye puncture, chemical burn to the eyes, eye swelling, subconjunctival hemorrhaging, traumatic iritis or eye infection, our physicians are on-call, at all times, to handle any eye emergencies that may arise.
